This Place We Call Our Home

War is often perceived as a bloody occurrence on the battlefield. Most young people nevertheless experience war as something remote and out of their control. War is a fear that they try to oppress to make their lives continue. This documentary portrays how the war in Ukraine influences the daily life for young people how are not at the front.
In the summer of 2014, the two young directors went to Ukraine to document how the war influences the daily life of young people. This Place We Call our Home was nominated as best short film at the European Film Awards in 2015 and won a prize at Krakow Film Festival same year. Both directors are last year students at the National Film School of Denmark.
