COURSE DEPARTMENT GENERAL POLICIES

Placement test

In order to ensure that the students are placed in the proper level, a placement test will be offered to all new students who have some knowledge of French language and to returning students of the AEF, who have not participated in a course in 6 months or more.

Waiting list

If a class is full, students can request to be placed on the waiting list. Students on the waiting list will be contacted as soon as there is an opening in the original class due to a withdrawal, or when the number of students requires that an additional class be created.

Collective class

Students are requested to come on time to the class. On the first class, students will only be allowed once they have shown a valid receipt or their student card to the teacher. Students need to have the proper course material in order to get in the class.
Course material downloaded on your phone is not acceptable as course material.
Please note that regular attendance and punctuality will ensure a smooth teaching-learning process.

Telephone & Food Policy

Use of cellular phones is not permitted in classrooms. Eating and drinking are not permitted in classrooms.

Payments

Students are requested to pay the full tuition and book fees prior to the start of the session. For new students, the AEF will apply a non-refundable registration fee. The cost of course materials and books is separate from the tuition fee.

Method of payment

Payments must be made in full at time of registration by bank transfer prior to the session.

Cancellations

AEF reserves the right to cancel any course, should there be fewer than eleven students registered for the course.
In the event that a course is cancelled, AEF will offer students the option of a) transferring to another course, b) transferring to the next session or c) obtaining a full refund.

Transfers

Kindly note that all transfers from one group class to another group class within the same session must be done before the third day of class and must be approved by the Course Director. You may submit a written request in person or by email to classes@allianceaddis.org

Exams, books, and registration fees are non-refundable.

Private course tuition is non-refundable and not transferable to group classes or to another student if there are less than 10 hours left. Private course tuition payments expire 3 months after the last class scheduled on the agreement. A minimum purchase of ten hours is required.

Private course cancellation

If you need to cancel a lesson, you must contact by email the AEF at least 48 hours in advance or you will be charged for the lesson.

Repetition of the course
